WebSentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) has been initially developed for melanoma and breast cancers. Its application in head and neck cancers is recent, probably due to the complexity of the lymphatic drainage, the proximity between the primary tumor and the lymph nodes and the critical anatomical structures (such as the facial nerve). Webnode biopsy, 3 had positive sentinel lymph nodes (9.7%). Deaths were recorded in two of the cases with positive sentinel lymph nodes (66.6%), and in 5 (17.8%) of the patients with negative lymph nodes. The mean Breslow index was 11.3mm for primary melanomas with pos-itive sentinel lymph nodes and 4.3mm for those with negative sentinel lymph nodes.
