Ranger can do ranger things, SOS because of expertise, and Sin promise on a ranger is fairly broken as well. Plus you can’t get LDoA on a dervish.

Although I haven't played Dervish much so can't say much. The can land some pretty high damage. It would mostly depend on build it seems, plus being able to attack multiple enemies is pretty useful.
